Shanghai: Arrival

Today, I arrived at Shanghai Pudong Airport with possibly the most diverse group I’ve traveled with – a Persian terrorist, a Canadian guy, a Thai princess, a British small town girl, a New Yorker, a Cambodian guy, a Taiwanese guy, a fake Cantonese guy, a Vietnamese girl, a Jewish guy, and a Chinese National. We checked into the luxurious Howard Johnson All-Suites Hotel in the Changning district. Unbelievably, the two bedroom suite managed to fit all 11 of us comfortably.

Weather here has been delightful. It’s nothing like Hong Kong’s humid summer weather. I could actually walk around in polo and pants without sweating profusely.
