Touchdown!

First thing first – IT’S HOT AND HUMID! From eating at Ajisen Ramen at HKG to taxi ride to HKUST, I was sweating like a pig in my dress shirt and jeans. Technically, this is a new day; but since I hadn’t had any sleep, it feels like the same day. I lived most of the day like a zombie, looking for 7-11’s to get a Sim card, MTR station for Octopus card, and opening up an HSBC bank account.

I totally did not expect us to be doing so much on the first day. After the crew was financially stable, we found ourselves at Mong Kok shopping at hagglicious street vendors for power plug converters. Carson and I tried bargaining of those things at 9 HKD each. Since we are totally new to the art of screaming negotiation, we paid the full price – 10 HKD =[ (they were going for 8 HKD just around the corner!)
